Worship with Communion

John Wesley described taking part in the sacrament of communion as often as possible to be “a plain command of Christ”. As we consider the third general rule of the church, “attend upon the ordinances of God”, and the season of Lent that calls us to renewed spiritual discipline, we are going to practice the duty of constant communion together. Each Sunday in Lent, we will gather for Holy Communion during our worship time. This time will include new ways to partake, as well as education around the sacrament.
Sunday School-aged children attend the service until the conclusion of Children’s Moments. At that time, they may either remain in the service with their parents or be escorted to their class by their teachers. Our Children’s Sunday School takes place during the remainder of the worship time.
After worship, everyone is invited to the Connection Center for refreshments and conversation.
