April 8

Hello Grace UMC!

We had such an amazing season of Lent, Holy Week, and Easter! There were so many who made it all possible, so many that it would be nearly impossible to list them all. And so if you helped with a meal, served communion, led during worship, decorated a space, planned an event, participated in a group, prayed for and with others, offered your gifts: thank you! It is more than just filling the calendars with programs; it’s about providing opportunities to grow in faith, to change our hearts as people of God’s kingdom, and helping others to grow in their understanding and love of God and neighbor, as we make disciples to transform the world as the church of the neighborhood.

Now, the stone is not just rolled away, and the tomb is not just empty; Jesus is risen and alive, just as he said! We are to tell the world, even in the face of doubt, even in the midst of despair, even when it is hard, to proclaim Christ as the victor over death, and God’s glory revealed! (If you missed Easter Sunday, you just got the mini version of the sermon.) Take note of where new life is sprouting around you, and where things feel fresh and new. God is doing something through this church, and what a privilege it is to be part of it with you.
